finally back online

I haven't been online for over a week now because I've been down with the Mother of all Flu Bugs. Mom continues to decline. A week ago last Friday she almost didn't make it through the night, and received the Last Rites of the Catholic Church; she's continuing to be more and more short of breath and is having further heart problems. She had another close call last night. She's supposed to re-evaluated for hospice admission this week.

Barb,

I got your email. ***Hugs***

Hang in there. Let me know if you want to talk.

Hospice care is a great thing; my mom got it the final couple weeks of her struggle with a variety of ills.

It's not an easy process, but 'being there' for our parents is (in my opinion) one of the greatest things we children can ever do. You're doing a great thing.

Thinking of you, Barb. I hope you are over your flu! I saw your mom's name is on the intentions list at church. (I actually read it when I lectored the other weekend.)
