Haiti

Tuesday afternoon, I was slumped on the couch, watching cable, stuffed full of antibiotics and feeling quite sorry for myself. A sinus infection, infections in both ears and both eyes; I felt (still feel) like one big oozing infection. Then the news of the Haiti earthquake came over the news. Looking at my full medicine cabinet, not to mention my full cupboards and my nice comfy bed, knowing where my loved ones are and that they're okay, makes it tough to feel truly sorry for myself.

If you want to help, consider donating to Catholic Relief Services--they do great work!

Catholic Relief Services is a great place to donate. But wherever you send your money, send it to a place that you know is a real service provider such as Red Cross or Doctors without Borders. There will be scam artists claiming to be relief services that will make up names that are not legitimate. Go to the known places to donate.

Barb, nothing like a natural disaster to put all our lives in perspective. Still, I am so sorry you're ill. I hope you are well enough to venture out on Saturday. I am really looking forward to meeting you and the others!

CRS is an awesome and reputable organization. They will make sure the money goes to a life-saving cause.

Blessings...
